This Hai Kohiki (灰粉引き) Mino Ware Matcha Bowl features a beautiful harmony of soft grey and white tones with a naturally rustic finish.

Crafted from reddish-grey clay, the bowl is finished with a smooth grey glaze on the upper portion, while the lower part features a white Kohiki-style brush finish. The unglazed foot further highlights the natural character of the clay.

Hai Kohiki (灰粉引き) refers to this distinctive grey-toned Kohiki style, valued for its soft, earthy appearance and subtle variations in glaze and brushwork.

As each bowl is individually finished, the colour, glaze and brush strokes may vary slightly from piece to piece. These natural variations are part of the beauty and character of Japanese pottery.
