Hand-Painted Japanese Character

Each bottle and cup features the Japanese character 「酒」, meaning sake. The character is painted by hand, so every piece has its own unique appearance. Small variations in the brushwork are part of the charm and authenticity of handmade Japanese tableware.

Authentic Mino Ware

This sake set is made in Mino, Gifu Prefecture, the home of Mino ware (美濃焼)—one of Japan’s oldest and most celebrated ceramic traditions with over 1,300 years of history.

Known for its quality craftsmanship and beautiful glazes, Mino ware combines traditional techniques with practical everyday use, making it a favourite throughout Japan.

How to Warm Sake (Atsukan)

Warming sake enhances its aroma, sweetness and umami, creating a smoother, richer flavour.

To prepare Atsukan (熱燗) at approximately 50°C:

1. Heat water to about 80°C in a pot deep enough to reach the neck of the sake bottle.
2. Place the sake bottle in the hot water for around 2 minutes.
3. Pour into the cups and enjoy.

Do not heat the ceramic bottle directly on a stovetop or over an open flame.
