Private Policy

The private information we might collect through our News letters or through purchase will be only used by j-okini.  j-okini takes all reasonable precautions to ensure that any personal information received is kept confidential.

We do not store or keep credit card numbers from on-line transactions. In the event that a credit card is used without the holder’s authorization, the card holder must notify the credit card provider in accordance with their reporting rules and procedures. Our website has the necessary security measures to protect it from unauthorized third party access.

Products

j-okini reserves the right to modify any information including the description of products or prices at any time without prior notice.

Handmade items may vary one item to another.

Shipping

<Malta and Gozo>

Orders are delivered either by us or by our courier partner Connect within 4 business days after payment is received.

Free Delivery

 – Malta: Free delivery on orders over €35

 – Gozo: Free delivery on orders over €50 (delivered by Connect)

A €5 delivery fee applies to orders below the minimum amount.

You will receive an email update from us once your order is ready for delivery (please check your spam folder just in case).
If your order is delivered by Connect, you will also receive an email directly from them with a tracking number.
If you will not be home on the scheduled delivery day, please contact Connect directly to arrange an alternative time and avoid unnecessary trips.

Local Pick-up

Pick-up is available with no minimum order at the following locations:

 – Naxxar: Parking area of Maypole, 21st September Avenue – anytime

 – Sliema: Bisazza Street – Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 12:00–17:30 (excluding public holidays)

Pick-up time can be arranged in advance via WhatsApp (+356 9904 9254) or email.

<Europe, UK, USA, Canada>

Minimum order is 7.9 euros.

Shipping to countries outside Malta is with a registered mail with a tracking number.   The price is calculated according to the weight of your total order in your cart.

It takes approx. 5 – 14 working days depending on the countries with standard mail.

The shipping time also may vary according to how busy your local post office is at the time of arrival in your country, such as Christmas and New Year’s period takes longer than other period.

– Registered mail with a tracking number:  it takes the same time as Standard mail, but it is with a tracking number and it can be tracked.

– Parcel post with a tracking number: This service is for a order more than 2kg and it takes slightly longer than the standard mail.  This method can also be tracked.

DHL Express by courier

Minimum order is 35 euros.

Destination countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovenia, Spain (except Canary Islands), Sweden, Vatican

Other European Countries: Albania, Andorra, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Gibraltar, Montenegro, Norway (25% of VAT has to be added to the total order), Serbia, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Up to 5 working days of delivery in USA & Canada (it might take longer at the custom)

We have currently paused shipping to the USA due to the customs fees and potential delays in transit.

Price and Tax for Customers Outside the European Union

All the prices listed on our website are in Euros.  Please be aware that if you reside outside the European Union, your order may be subject to VAT charges, customs duties, and/or import taxes upon entry into your country. These fees are not included in the price displayed on our website.

Specifically for customers in Norway, in compliance with the Norwegian tax regulations, we are required to invoice for a 25% VAT on the total order amount, including the shipping fee, before we ship the goods to Norway.  This is to ensure a seamless delivery process by covering all necessary tax obligations upfront.

Please note that these additional charges are the responsibility of the customer and vary by country. We recommend consulting your local customs office for more information on your country’s tax and duty policies.

Return policy

Products can be returned within 14 days for a full refund of the purchase price. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact contact@j-okini.com as soon as possible.  We will send you a form to fill in and we will guide you to proceed with return. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.  To be eligible for a return, your product must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.  Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food cannot be returned.  You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your product.  Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.  We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Cancellation of order

In the event of when a product is sold out, j-okini reserves the right to cancel the order and refund any amount paid or consult with the customer for the similar product if available.
