Tokoname ware (常滑焼, Tokoname-yaki) is a type of Japanese pottery, stoneware, and ceramics produced in and around Aichi, Japan. Tokoname was the location of one of the six Antient Kilns of Japan and it dates back to the 12th century.
This teapot has a beautifully painted Sakura on the front of body.
The colour is calming light green with a light pink sakura. So beautiful!
This teapot has a stainless steel fine mesh tea strainer, suitable for brewing ‘深蒸し茶 Fukamushicha’ deep steamed tea.
