Sakura Tea, or Sakuracha, is a traditional Japanese infusion made by steeping pickled cherry blossoms in hot water.
It is often enjoyed during weddings and New Year celebrations in Japan as a symbol of beauty, renewal, and good fortune.
This premium Sakuracha comes beautifully preserved in a container, ensuring the blossoms remain whole and delicate, not crushed like many others.
Made by Nishiri, a long-established pickle shop in Kyoto, this tea offers the authentic taste and aroma of Japan’s spring.
You can also use these cherry blossoms to create Sakura Rice or Sakura soup.
Take one or two blossoms and gently remove some of the salt.
Place them in a cup and pour about 150 ml of hot water.
Let the flowers unfold and enjoy their delicate aroma and flavor.
Note: Since the blossoms are salted, adding too many may make the tea taste salty.
If you prefer a milder flavor, soak the blossoms in warm water for about 5 minutes before pouring hot water over them.
