What is Kakishibu?

柿渋 Kakishibu is a Japanese traditional natural dye made from un-ripened Japanese persimmon (Kaki) which has a history of more than 1000 years.

It is a Japanese art of dyeing, a method without chemicals, 100% natural and there are many benefits such as anti-bacterial, anti-odour and water-proof thanks to the main component tannin (polyphenol).
