Japanese Authentic Matcha Bowl Aoshino

志野焼き Shino ware is a type of Mino ware  that uses white glaze and is produced in Mino (Gifu Prefecture).  It started during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (16th century).

The use of ‘Shino glaze’ is now widespread, both in Japan and abroad.  It is identified as thick white glazes, red scorch marks, and a texture of small holes.

This Matcha bowl has a beautiful uneven grey colour with a light blue glaze at the top of the bowl.

These two colours are matching perfectly and making this bowl so unique and sophisticated.
