The private information we might collect through our News letters or through purchase will be only used by j-okini.  j-okini takes all reasonable precautions to ensure that any personal information received is kept confidential.

We do not store or keep credit card numbers from on-line transactions. In the event that a credit card is used without the holder’s authorization, the card holder must notify the credit card provider in accordance with their reporting rules and procedures. Our website has the necessary security measures to protect it from unauthorized third party access.

 

Products

j-okini reserves the right to modify any information including the description of products or prices at any time without prior notice.

Handmade items may vary one item to another.

 

Shipping

Orders are delivered or shipped by Maltapost within 3 business days from receipt of payment.  If there is a delay in dispatching, j-okini will notify the buyer by an email or a phone call.  During a busy period such as before Christmas (starting mid November), we group orders by locality so there will be a delay for deliveries.

<Malta and Gozo>

The minimum order for delivery is 30 euros.  Delivery or shipping with Maltapost depending on your location in Malta.   Also depends on the amount of order and the kind of product (for example we will not ship Ramen bowls or Matcha bowls with Maltapost).  Please check an email from us in your mailbox (it might be in spam) about the update of shipping or delivery.  If you prefer a delivery, not shipping by Maltapost, please write in a comment.

No minimum order for the category of <Japanese tea> <Kimono wallet> <Furoshiki – except tapestry pole> <Fabric – except tapestry rod><Silk Scarves> for free shipping or delivery in Malta and Gozo with Maltapost.

Gozo delivery:  Free shipping with light items with MaltaPost.  For the heavy items such as product category  <Kitchen & Tableware> <lunch box> <gift box> <Sake & Sake ware> and <Tea set>, the minimum order of 50 euros shall apply.

Local pick up is available with no minimum order at the parking of Maypole in 21st September Avenue Naxxar anytime, and Bisazza street Sliema between Mon-Fri 12:00-17:00hrs (excluding Public holidays).  Pick-up time will be discussed and agreed in advance on whatsapp or email.  Please send us message on whatsapp +356 9904 9254.

<Europe, UK, USA, Canada>

Shipping to countries outside Malta is with a registered mail with a tracking number, a standard mail without a tracking number.   The price is calculated according to the weight of your total order in your cart.

It takes approx. 5 – 14 days depending on the countries with standard mail.

The shipping time also may vary according to how busy your local post office is at the time of arrival in your country, such as Christmas and New Year’s period takes longer than other period.

– Standard mail without a tracking number:  This is the cheapest shipping method. This is a service by Maltapost in Malta and it will be handled by your country’s local post office.  The shipment with this service cannot be tracked.  We will be packing well and putting the addresses on the package and inside the package but in case there is a delay or a lost, we are unable to take responsibility to replace your order.  Please choose this shipping method after agreeing that there is a risk of delay or lost.

– Registered mail with a tracking number:  it takes the same time as Standard mail, but it is with a tracking number and it can be tracked.

– Parcel post with a tracking number: This service is for a big order or heavy products and it takes slightly longer than the standard mail.  This method can also be tracked.

<Covid-19 situation>

Please allow some more time till item is delivered to outside Malta since we are currently experiencing delays due to reduced flights and consignments.

As of August 2022, it is still not the same situation as before covid-19 in some countries but the shipping time is improving.

USA & Canada: Currently suspended until next year.

Price and Tax for outside EU

All the prices on our web-site are in Euros and may be subject to VAT charges, customs duties and/or import taxes upon entry in your country if you reside outside European Union.  These fees which will be charged in your country are not included in our price on our website.

 

Return policy

Products can be returned within 14 days for a full refund of the purchase price. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact contact@j-okini.com as soon as possible.  We will send you a form to fill in and we will guide you to proceed with return. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.  To be eligible for a return, your product must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.  Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food cannot be returned.  You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your product.  Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.  We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

 

Cancellation of order

In the event of when a product is sold out, j-okini reserves the right to cancel the order and refund any amount paid or consult with the customer for the similar product if available.
